Pottering Around London
Grab your wand, your broomstick and a tube ticket as we zoom around the magical city of London! Wanna-be wizards and witches will be delighted to take this time turning tour in order to see as much as they can in a small amount of time.
Designed for those wizards who love Harry Potter, but don't want to spend too much time walking all over the city or sitting in traffic on a bus. Our tour begins with a few locations said to have inspired JK Rowling as she began writing about her now famous character. We learn what kind of inspiration she took from reality and fantasy in order to create these extraordinary works of literature. How did the Weasley's get their names? What kind of influence did astronomy have? Was there a debate about Harry Potter in the Houses of Parliament?
From here, we are on the move, looking at locations across the city. Broomsticks are forbidden around muggles, so we will travel by underground in order to visit the major locations used in the filming. Learn how the crew managed to create a giant in the middle of a Victorian market. Hear about the actors that were not allowed to even audition!
Finally we end our tour at the infamous King's Cross Station to see the real train platform used for the filming of 9 3/4. After the tour, you may wish to visit the nearby gift shop and trolly for photos.
(please note: you will need a valid travelcard or means to "touch in and out" as we will be travelling on the underground and travel is not included in the price of the tour)
